This was a band or bands performing impromptu at Folklife as several others had done as well. They had a small crowd and seemed to be having quite a good time. Nice music.

I believe this man was attempting some sort of ceremonial dance to a alto saxophone being played just off-camera. Oh, and he was incredibly intoxicated.

Took the opportunity to try out some street photography at the Northwest Folklife Festival last weekend. It was my first real attempt at street photography, and I definitely learned quite a bit from my mistakes…

Beavers frequently build dams here, and this area can sort of flood over as a result during the rainy season. Another vital wetland connected to the river, it is an important part of the ecosystem here.
